Having being transported from Asian and South American countries, the exotic animals at Alma Park Zoo await your presence and long for your friendly touch. The zoo is the oldest in Queensland, Australia and is currently being relocated to Logan City. Previously the zoo was 30 minutes away from Oaks Mon Komo which is also the best Redcliffe Hotel in town. Once relocated you would have to spend an additional 20 minutes to reach the zoo. The drive would be the most worthwhile bits of travel, as your encounters in the zoo would range from the most harmless to the most deadly. Prepare to cuddle a Red Panda and feel the scales of the Burmese Python as he wraps around your body in a threatening manner.

A tropical setting is recreated in order to ensure the comfort of the animals. As you brush past ferns and thick bushes, be prepared to gaze upon an innumerable amount of primates such as Baboons, Black capped Capuchins and Common Marmosets. Even though the nature of the zoo will undergo many changes, the ambiance will remain essentially the same. It would be best to be prepared for some surprising encounters.

Asian and South American animals beloved for their exotic roots, add more depth to their appeal as they reveal amazing aspects of their behavior. The Sun bear and Red Panda from the Asian region and the Lowland Tapir and Greater Rheas from the South American region bask in the glory accorded to them while also growing more accustomed to the presence and touch of humans.

The scent of danger is also pervasive. The zoo is home to reptiles, amphibians and crocodiles. Alligators, Boyds Forest Dragons and corn snakes are only a few among a multitude. Their beauty is captivating and more so because you can get somewhat close to them. Make sure you capture your intimate moments with these animals. You can also make sure your kids have the fun they deserve. Farm animals such as goats, sheep and calves crave the touch of kind hands. All aspects of the Alma Park Zoo would undergo innovative changes in the future. Keep a close tab on the date of its reopening and plan a trip!
