One of the features that make this garden stand out is the manner in which traditional Balinese architecture and sculptures have been incorporated into the landscape, including the impressive Kumbakarna Laga statue that towers over the grounds. As one strolls around the Bali Botanic Garden it is easy to get lost in thought amidst Mother Nature decked out in all her finery.

The gardens are home to a stunning array of over 2,000 plant species and among the highlights are the indigenous plants of Indonesia be it from Nusa Tenggara, Bali, Maluku or Sulawesi. Due to its diverse landscapes, the gardens can and do play a key role in plant conservation too.
