When it comes to imagination and fantasy the imagineers at Watt Disney are par excellence and today, Disneylands have sprung up even in countries outside USA. Disneyland, Paris, is the second Disney Park to be established outside USA and opened its doors in 1992 as Euro Disney but the name was later changed to Disneyland. It is located in Marne -la-Vallée, 32 km east of the center of Paris. Disneyland Paris has two different Parks and the main one is divided into Adventure land, Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Frontierland, and Main Street, USA. Adventureland shows a heavy Indian and Moroccan influence. Adventure Bazaar is an oriental city based on the 1001 Arabian Nights while the second part is more African the third themed area covers Asian jungles and is themed to explorers and has the Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril roller coaster ride. The largest area is given over to Pirates of the Caribbean and Adventure Isle is a Tom Sawyer like walk through. Futuristic Rides are what you get at Discoveryland and includes Space Mountain: Mission 2, Buzz Light-year Laser Blast and Autopia. Ride in the Mad Hatter’s tea cups and fly high with Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Frontierland showcases the frontier of the Far West. Main Street, USA showcases a turn-of the-century American Main Street.

The second park is the Walt Disney Studio Park and revolves around a movie theme and offers rides featuring animated characters from Disney movies, stunt and special effects shows. The Park is designed like a wheel and the roads and paths spread out like spokes from wheel’s center. A narrow gauge railroad runs along the perimeter of the Park and offers an enjoyable ride. The park has seven hotels and two golf courses.
