How to Walk on Water? Water Zorbing! – A Riveting Activity on Water

Water Zorbing is becoming popular amongst different types of aquatic sports . An entertaining activity cherished by adults and kids alike, Water Zorbing is popularly used in swimming pools as an activity to keep children fit.

What is Water Zorbing?

The large inflatable balls used in Water Zorbing are built from a material that offsets the extreme conditions such as cold or snowy weather. Also known as a “Human Hamster Ball”, these expansive spheres are sometimes designed according to the setting of the activity be in on water, snow or even ice.

Records in Zorbing

First introduced by Andrew Akers and Dwane Van der Sluis, Zorbing was initially popular in New Zealand as an extreme sport. Steve Camp set a record as the first Zorbing enthusiast to travel the greatest distance in a single roll for 570m over 1870ft. Information about such sports and organizing the best adventure vacations can be found on popular online blogs such as The Adventure Travel Site.

Other Types of Zorbing

Originally named as “Orbing” or “Sphereing”, Zorbing gained popularity in the early 90’s. A relatively smaller wearable version of the Zorb has been constructed to be used in different other games such as Zorb tag, Zorb sumo wrestling and even Zorb football.
