The 88 stories offer Jin Mao Tower a rank. It is the third biggest building in China. And that is the very reason you must visit this tower. Stay at one of the Service Apartments Shanghai like Citadines Biyun Shanghai and it will be a convenient experience to tour this tower.

The tower’s height figures are awesome. It is 420.5 metres tall, which means it goes 1380 feet upwards. The tower is sprawled across 5.68 acres. Credit where it is due, since it was Adrian D Smith, an architect, who designed this tall building. The interior has the interfusion of traditional Chinese culture with modern trendy styles. All this has positioned the tower among the top class buildings in the world.

Jin Mao is third only to Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center in China. If you wonder how to reach the tower, you can opt for an adventurous path. Take the tunnel in Puxi, and it takes only two minutes. Or the other option, the more convenient one, is to take a car straight from the airport and head to the tower. Convenient it is, but takes half an hour for the journey.

Eighty-eight floors is not a piece of cake. But you got nothing to worry. The elevators are made in the best possible manner. The direct elevators will move at the rate of 30 feet per second. Plainly speaking, the elevator will take you from the ground floor to the top floor within 45 seconds! And you have five to six elevators so that you do not have idle around during the rush hours. It saves your time.

You cannot reach every floor though. Some floors are restricted to the tower’s working staff. The first two floors are worth a visit, especially when you are on a business tour. You can have a business conference on either floor. The most interesting floor is the 88th, the top one, where the observation deck is. That deck can accommodate about 1000 people in one go.
