Kuala Lumpur Deer Park – A Must Visit

Malaysian Capital Kuala Lumpur has diverse attractions for the locals as well as tourists. Amongst these countless attractions, Kuala Lumpur Deer Park take a special place. It is located at Jalan Perdana in Wilayah Persekutuan between the Orchid Garden and Tun Abdul Razak Memorial.

It is part of what is known as Lake Garden in the capital city and it is home a variety of species of deer. It is also next door to the largest aviary in the world, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. It is open from 9 in the morning till l6 in the evening every day and admission is free.

From the very first moment that one steps into the Park one feels welcomed. Even when it is sunny the lush green vegetation makes a walk along the paths in this park a very pleasant one. Some areas have been enclosed with fences so that the visitors get the e best views of the deer who live here.

Visitors can enjoy the setting created by the lake with placid waters or go jogging on the jogging paths located here and get some exercise in an evening. With a variety of deer including mouse deer who have made this place their home, the setting has been made as an enclosed space. Mouse deer is also the biggest attraction here as it is considered to be the tiniest hoofed animal. It also finds a special place in both local and Indonesian folklore and legends thus it is an important feature in understanding the cultures of this part of the world.

There are also a number of other tourist attractions for the visitor in the area such as the orchid and hibiscus garden, Perdana Lake Gardens Outdoor Park, the planetarium and many more. With free entrance and extended opening hours it is definitely a must visit for any tourists or a business traveler to the city. It can also be easily accessed from many a Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
