Nanshan Ski Village: Snow Entertainment at its Best!

As the holiday season slowly creeps up, for those dreaming of a White Christmas complete with hot chocolate, cosy havens and of course, fun-filled snow sports, the Nanshan Ski Village in China is a refreshing distraction. This attraction was opened in 2001 and since then, has become an immense success that provides tourists with an amazing snow-filled experience.
The resort itself is home to snow making machines and groomers that ensure that there is always sufficient snow to have a wonderful time and even if you are an inexperienced skier or want to try it out for the first time, the Nanshan Ski Village offers guests the option of hiring a ski instructor, who will ensure that you slide down that mountainside with ease before the holiday is over!
This skiing experience is unlikely to be anything but ordinary for the Nanshan Ski Village is truly a village with something for all age groups. For those travelling with kids, this is one holiday you can bring them along on and still be sure that they’ll be happily occupied. In terms of snow entertainment for kids, the Village has a special children’s play area with igloos, swings and slides and of course, lots and lots of snow for snowmen and snow angels. The Village also offers Children’s sledges, ideal for kids to enjoy the snow without getting hurt. For the adults, specially imported sleds are available for hire, and there is a toboggan run that has been imported from Germany, which must be experienced.
For those wondering on how to reach the Ski Village, it is only 62 kilometres away from service apartments Beijing that can be accessed via the Jingcheng expressway in a mere half an hour. Additionally, there is a ski shuttle bus service organised by the Nanshan Ski Village that leaves at 8.30am from two locations and it’s available as long as you make a reservation.
