Santorini Park brings all the beauty and pleasure of the world famous Greek islands to Thailand’s Cha-Am district. Unusual as it may be, the park has recreated the familiar white buildings, blue doors, colourful bougainvillea vines and stone paved paths, right down to the finest details. It’s something completely different, and neighbouring Hua Hin district has plenty of attractive Hua Hin Hotel Packages from big resorts like the Anantara Hua Hin Resort to smaller inns that will suit any budget.

The park is a family friendly area, which is separated into 5 zones that provide various forms of entertainment for all ages. The amusement park, aptly named Park Zone, includes all rides and various games set amid a landscaped backdrop. There’s old favourites like the Ferris wheel and colourful double-decker carousel to more modern activities like the G-MAX giant swing, XD Dark Ride interactive game, G-MAX reverse bungee and the first Wallholla play structure in Asia.

The neighbouring Village Zone celebrates Santorini’s Mediterranean architecture and its laid-back coastal ambiance. There are over 140 boutique shops hidden away in a maze of narrow, stone paved walkways, lined by whitewashed buildings. So life-like is it, that the only really missing here are the jaw dropping cliffs and panoramic views over the Mediterranean sea. Most of the food vendors, cafes, souvenir shops and even a salons and petrol station, are located in the Rest Area Zone.

Apart from all the shopping and amusement rides, Santorini Park also has an outdoor area called the Activities Zone which plays host to live concerts and events. The last zone, called the Weekend Art Market, is where you can find a wide selection of quirky souvenirs, arts and crafts to take back home. It’s a flea market styled shopping area which offers plenty of colour to keep you amused. A Greek themed amusement park in the middle of Thailand certainly sounds odd, but it’s also unbelievably entertaining, so do drop by if you can.
