What to See

Dotted around the 12.5-hectare forest sanctuary are ancient relics which serve different traditional purposes, included places of worship and funeral sites. These locations are shrouded in vines and thick greenery, which add to the mystery and allure of the place. When looking for Bali family resorts, there are several lovely options such as Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali for example.

The Monkeys

Conservation of the natural habitat is a major component of the Ubud Monkey Forest. Efforts are consistently made to ensure the monkeys’ wellbeing including dietary and social aspects. A note of advice would be to not wear any loose apparel, flash jewellery or any other items of value as the cheeky monkeys are known to take these items and run off into the countless trees. If something does happen, do not panic and attempt to aggressively engage with the monkeys yourself.

What to Know

The sanctuary has plenty of guides prepared to help you with anything during your visit. They are also valuable assets in helping you learn things about the sites that you won’t find anywhere else.
