Victoria Harbour – A Hong Kong thrill not to be missed!
Hong Kong is a renowned hub for business and leisure. It has a thriving leisure industry with many wonderful sights to see and numerous pleasure activities. A budget Hotel in Hong Kong is the aim of many visitors to the island. For them the Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong with its convenient location, variety of rooms and bathrooms with up-to-date comfort, superb cuisine and service would be an ideal answer.
The historic and iconic Victoria Harbour is one of Hong Kong’s premier attractions and a ‘must see’ for visitors. Originally called Hong Kong Harbour it was later named Victoria Harbour after Queen Victoria of England by the British who defeated the Chinese and colonized Hong Kong.
Victoria Harbour has a geographically strategic location between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula and is one of the busiest ports in the world.
Several locations in Hong Kong offer great views of Victoria Harbour. Among them are Tsim Sha T sui Waterfront, Central Waterfront, Wan Chai Waterfront, Sky 100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, Victoria Peak and Hong Kong’s Rooftop Bars.
Attractions around Victoria Harbour include ‘A Symphony of Lights’ a stunning light and laser show featuring more than 40 buildings/skyscrapers on both sides of the Victoria Harbour .
One of Hong Kong’s biggest shopping malls ‘The Harbour City Shopping Mall’ is in close proximity to the Victoria Harbour and gracing the neighbourhood are many other Flagship Stores of International brands.
The Clock Tower of Hong Kong is again another iconic land mark of Hong Kong. Originally, a part of the former Kowloon-Canton Railway Terminus it is easily visible from the area of the Star Ferry Pier on the Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront. The Observation Platform is next to the Clock Tower and is an ideal place for relaxation and watching the Symphony of Lights.
The Star Ferry Cruise and Hong Kong Harbour cruises, the Avenue of Stars with its photo booths and Jackie Chan Statues, the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art are other worthwhile places to visit.
