Regardless of age, there is something for everyone in Hong Kong. Hotel properties cater to visitors of all description from couples to families, business to leisure travellers. Travelling with young children can prove a daunting task for parents but this is a city that is equipped with restaurants, attractions and activities to engage and entertain kids of all ages. A centrally located hotel, with modern amenities like the Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong is convenient for families.

Hong Kong has two main theme parks that will appeal to kids: Disneyland and Ocean Park. Disneyland, located on Lantau Island, is one of five Disney attractions in the world. It is open from 10am to 9pm. There is a special ‘Disneyland Resort’ MRT line that lets kids enjoy the Disney experience even before arriving at the park. The Flights of Fancy Parade, which takes place every day of the year, is not to be missed. Fantasyland is another much loved area of the park, which features the homes of Disney characters, while the Fantasy Gardens are where you can meet the characters themselves. Special themed parades are put on during Christmas and Chinese New Year.
Ocean Park is a marine-life theme park that was opened in 1977. In addition to the many animal exhibits, there are also thrill rides and shows for visitors. The park won the biannual Applause Award in 2012 for offering an experience that is both entertaining with educational. Ocean Park also supports local wildlife conservation projects. Each year, it plays host to special events like Halloween Bash, Asia’s biggest Halloween party and Summer Splash, a midyear event of wet and wild fun. A small and lesser known theme park is Snoopy’s World. It is located in Sha Tin at New Town Plaza Shopping Mall. It is open daily from 10am to 8pm.
