Langkawi is one of the most prized island jewels in Malaysia for outdoor lovers – home to spectacular beaches, vibrant rainforest terrain, and colourful marine life. You’ll need at least 7 days to truly experience the wonders of this island, so here’s a brief itinerary to get you started on your travel plans.
Day 1
Taking it easy on your first day is wise, especially if you were in the air for hours. After you’ve settled in at your Langkawi island resort, head to the nearest beach – Pantai Tengah if you’re based at PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort – and spend a few hours soaking up the sun.
Days 2 & 3
With over 99 islands in the area, an island-hopping adventure is a must on day 2. Try to visit top spots like Pulau Dayang Bunting, Pulau Beras Basha and Pulau Sina Besar. For your day 3 adventure, head out for a scenic mangrove tour at the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, where rich habitats and biodiversity await.
Days 4 & 5
Reserve your fourth day in Langkawi for a visit to the Temurun Waterfalls, where you can attempt a climb to the upper pools or simply cool off by the lower falls. Your fifth day can be all about panoramic views courtesy of the Langkawi Cable Car that takes you up to Mount Mat Cincang.

Days 6 & 7
Spend your sixth day exploring Kuah Town, where you’ll find highlights like Eagle Square and the Al-Hana Mosque. You’ll want to reserve your last day for some relaxation by the beach or some light shopping to pick up a few souvenirs.
