A haven for shopaholics, the city has plenty of malls including the Dubai Mall, the largest of its kind in the world. Not to be missed is the uniquely themed Ibn Battuta Mall, a short walk from Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai. Beaches
As you enjoy stays at a luxury hotel in Dubai, also look to spend time at local beaches. The Beach by JBR with its promenade is a great place to go to and offers water sports options; family-friendly Jumeirah Beach, Kite Beach popular with kite surfers and Sunset Beach overlooking Burj Al Arab are well-known as well.
Old Dubai
Those based at a hotel near Ibn Battuta Mall can easily plan visits to the Bastakiya Quarter, known as the Al Fahidi Historical District. Here, you can soak up some culture, see traditional architecture and learn about local history at the Dubai Museum. For something different, take a cruise on a dhow along the Dubai Creek.
