For the uninitiated traveller, a trip to Dubai conjures up visions of non-stop shopping, luxury accommodation and exciting desert safaris. The glittering skylines, opulent shopping centres and dessert oasis ambiance are just a few of the things that make Dubai a cosmopolitan hub in the Arabian Peninsula. With the myriad of choices available when it comes to entertainment, Dubai really does have something for everyone.

Dubai’s reputation for luxury living is no joke. Aside from the amazing selection of chic accommodation in the city, like the palatial Desert Palm PER AQUUM, which is famed as a unique avant-garde boutique hotel in Dubai; there are several fantastic buildings that ooze wealth and glamour, such as the Mall of Emirates. One of the city’s best malls, it’s also home to the Ski Dubai facility, which features an indoor ski slope that cover 22,500 square meters, along with an adorable penguin enclosure.

If that doesn’t impress you, then head over to the largest shopping mall in the world, the Dubai Mall. The Mall covers around 12 million sq ft. and contains over 1,200 retail stores, in addition to an ice rink and cinema complex. The Dubai Mall also provides entrance to the famous Underwater Aquarium and the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper. The Palm Jumeirah is a testament to the city’s building scheme. The three artificial islands, shaped like palm trees, are a famous tourist attraction, largely in part for its magnificent view from the skies, which make it ideal for skydiving.

For a more traditional atmosphere, visit Deira Dubai, where you can find souks that sell everything from heady spices to gold, or, take a relaxing cruise along the Dubai Creek on a wooden abra boat. These are just a few examples of some of the amazing places to visit in Dubai. There are tons more so do take the time to explore as much as you can!
