Located at the Siam discovery centre Madame Tussauds has launched its latest branch of wax museums in Bangkok. This museum lets you rub shoulders with some of the best in the entertainment industry while you mingle with legends from the past, present and even royalty. There are 10 exhibit rooms with different themes. The Royal Room is one of the most elegant rooms of the 10 rooms where Thailand’s Royal Family has been portrayed, perfectly designed down to the very last detail. Visitors are not allowed to touch these figures.

Barack and Michelle Obama sit in the next room in their oval office along with Dalai Lama and the Aung San Suu Kyi. As you might imagine the president and his first lady are the most photographed out of these popular figures, closely followed by the princess of hearts Lady Diana and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Surprisingly one of the individuals who get a whole lot of attention is the controversial personality Chairman Mao.

Moving further you will see maestros of their trade Picasso ad Ludwig Van Beethoven, while Albert Einstein sits almost life like, wondering away. A sports fanatic, are you? Well then you are about to love what’s ahead of you, where Serena Williams and David Bekhams share their space with Tiger Woods and Yao Ming. The next room has far too many Golden Globes and Oscars to their credit. Join in the fun with Madonna and Johnny Dep, while Tom Cruise and Leonardo Di Caprio smile those charming smiles along with world renowned actresses Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie.

You will no doubt be amazed by the quality and the craftsmanship of these statues. It is a highly elaborate task where one statue takes around three to four months to finish and especially the hairs need planting one by one. The section on the history of Madame Tussauds lets you learn of this art, while one can purchase from a collection of memorabilia from the souvenir boutique at the premise.
