The legacy of Madam Marie Tussaud of France has spread far and wide across the globe, its first branch in Asia opened in Hong Kong followed by branches in Shanghai and Singapore. The forward thinking commercial nation Hong Kong being the first to be bestowed with the honour of such a monumental location comes as no surprise as it certainly added flair and wondrousness to the already famous Hong Kong sightseeing tours. The summit of the Victoria Peak is where a number of the most visit – worthy locations in Hong Kong are situated, including the Madam Tussauds Museum. The city tours which may begin at hotels or pass by premier domiciles such as the Cosmopolitan Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong invariably circle the hilltop and is one of the more convenient ways to cover as much ground as possible.

The wax museum now houses over one hundred figures of which over a dozen are famous personalities of Hong Kong itself. Asian celebrities and eminent personnel have received priority in the Hong Kong version of Madam Tussauds which features Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Mahatma Gandhi and Narendra Modi. However, the likes of Angelina Jolie, Barack Obama, David Beckham, Lady Gaga and Naomi Campbell also feature alongside the Asian stars and stalwarts.

The museum is housed in one of the most iconic buildings which could even be considered a modern day architectural wonder; the Peak Tower. The museum is usually open for 12 hours from 10 in the morning and consists of several interactive zones. The in-house photographers will do a splendid job in capturing all your starry moments alongside the celebrities. In the Music Icons Zone, you will find the best musical artists with whom you can sing while the World Premier Zone is full of Hollywood’s greatest and best with whom you can dress up in various costumes or gowns and pose.

Even kids can enter the museum as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Thus, take the entire family and tour this part of Hong Kong as well when you do have the chance.
