Jakarta, located in the northwest coast of Java, is Indonesia’s capital city, and opens up new worlds of experiences for the curious tourist. Check out the Ancol Dream Park, which offers an exciting range of fun rides, the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, the Jakarta arts theatre and so much more. When in Jakarta, explore these attractions so you do not miss out on the entire package that the city unwraps for your pleasure.

The Sasmita Loka Ahmad Yani Museum hails from quite a brutal past. The building used to be the home of a murdered army commander Ahmad Yani of the Indonesian army, and the museum is now home to an accumulation of interesting artefacts, courtesy of Ahmad Yani. These include some pictures and objects that centre on the G-30-S/PKI, September Movement, 30 September 1965. The museum still exhibits the bullet holes in the walls from that infamous day, and the interior of the house has not been changed too much, with a special area marking where the bullets were lodged. This is the main attraction of the museum. People come in hordes to see and be a part of the day that caused the city of Jakarta to be terrorised, with some hoping to take a piece of history back with them. A trip to Jakarta is not fulfilled if this place is not your must-do list.

Walk around and explore Jakarta, check out the lovely dining outlets and shopping malls that are all laid out for your convenience. Yet do not forget that the Sasmita Loka Ahmad Yani Museum is one place not to be missed. Learn about the history and culture of Indonesia and understand better how it all came to be. Located in Jalan Lembang, the Sasmita Loka Ahmad Yani Museum is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 08:00 Am till 14:00 Pm. If staying in the area, it is relatively easy to find good accommodation amongst the range of quality serviced apartments Jakarta has to offer the throngs of tourists who visit the city each year. Some luxury Jakarta hotel apartments that are situated close to city’s central area will be found at the Citadines Rasuna Jakarta, which is a stellar choice of serviced residence in Jakarta.
