A 20 Hectare park, located close to a major road, off the west side of Coloane the Seac pai Van Park is no ordinary park built for leisure. The Trees here are a bit unkempt and wild ,although it consists of a large array of plants and trees from around the world. Within the park there is a children’s playground , beautiful flower beds bearing gorgeous plants and flowers and picnic tables laid out for the many visitors who enjoy some time out and about at the park.
The parks’ recent highlight is the Panda pavilion that opened in 2011 complete with a Panda information center visited by many eager children and adults. The park is also home to a Museum of Nature and Agriculture. Open from 8 am to 6 pm, the park is free to the public. The panda pavilion however charges 10 MOP.
Offering something for everyone; the park has a children’s zoo and Lakes with swans for the enjoyment of the children and adults alike. It also consists of an Aviary, a botanical garden and much more, making it the perfect place or a family outing. Known as the largest Green belt of Macau, this patch of greenery on Macau’s map was once a Farm, and was later converted in to a multifunctional country park.
