An ancient water town situated in a suburb of Shanghai city, Zhujiajiao Water boasts a history of over 1700 years. This small, fan-shaped town sprawls across an area of 47 square kilometres and is compared to a pearl amidst a mountains and lakes. Among these, the tallest, largest and the longest stone bridge is Fangsheng Bridge. Built back in 1571, it features a stone tablet in addition to four stone lions.

Moreover, a sightseeing tour in the town must include a visit to the ancient North Street which is home to a collection of historical buildings from Qing and Ming dynasties, luring in hordes of local and foreign visitors. With a length of only one kilometer, this street is admired for its simplistic elegance. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the street, taking in the sight of old bridges, long-established stores, and ancient structures.

Additionally, Zhujiajiao is also home to imposing gardens such as Ke Zhi Yuan. This manorial garden is located in the northern part of town and features a garden area. Hall area and an artificial hill area which is where the renowned ‘Moon View Pavilion can be seen.
