Planning Your Visit

Open daily from 8:30am to 6:00pm, this zoo can be accessed from the city via direct bus services offered by Safari Gate or StarIsland Travel. Around a 20-minute cab ride from Citadines Balestier Singapore, this site can also be reached via MRT to stations such as Khatib followed by a connecting bus from there.

Layout and Highlights

It’s always good to have an idea about the site’s layout before you visit from city apart’hotels. Singapore Zoo has various zones each with different habitats and wildlife; you can see African lions in Wild Africa, kangaroos in Australasia, gentle giants at the Elephants of Asia, snakes at RepTopia, wolverines at Frozen Tundra and orangutans at Orangutan Island!

Rainforest KidzWorld

One of the premier family attractions in Singapore, the zoo also features a special section called Rainforest KidzWorld which the little ones are bound to love; they can interact with cuddly rabbits, ride ponies and enjoy the Animal Friends Show. There’s even a Wet Play Area to cool-off and have fun.

Shows & Activities

At Singapore Zoo, there are some truly memorable shows be it featuring lovable Asian elephants or a lively California sea lion. You can also join special feeding sessions for animals such as a white rhinoceros and giraffes, while there’s even an option to have breakfast in the company of orangutans!
