Located off the coast of Krabi, the island known as Koh Lanta offers some truly enchanting shorelines such as the one that can be found at Kantian Bay; here’s more on what you need to know.

Planning Your Visit

One can stay at Koh Lanta-based resorts in Krabi within easy reach of such local attractions. Options include Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort which overlooks the well-known shores of Koh Kwang Beach that’s worth spending time at as well. November to April is generally the best time to visit though you can enjoy off-season holidays too when the rates will be less as well.

What to Expect

Voted several times as one of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches, Kantian Beach is part of a picturesque crescent-shaped bay. The shoreline stretches for nearly 2 km so you can easily find a tranquil spot to spend with that special someone, the family or yourself! The sun-kissed sands nestled between lush greenery and azure waters as well as the uncrowded setting are perfect for those looking for peace and quiet to soak up the sun.

Things To Do

If it’s more relaxing you are after, you can get a Thai massage at the beach or join a yoga class. Due to its gently sloping nature, the beach is a great spot for swimming even for kids and the active type can also try snorkelling especially on the bay’s southern side. Nearby is the equally captivating Nui Bay Beach that you can visit, while excursions to Mu Koh Lanta National Park and Koh Lanta Old Town are also popular.
