Run by the Emirates Heritage Club, The Heritage Village has an artificially created desert environment with Bedouin tents, camel and horse where visitors can even enjoy a camel ride. The Heritage Village is open to public on Saturdays to Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 3.30p.m. to 9 p.m. Morning is the best time of the day to visit the open-air-museum before it gets too hot..

Apart from the unique exhibits at the open museum you will also find workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills such as metal work, glass, leather and pottery. You will also witness women weaving and spinning in these workshops displaying their remarkable talents. The craftsmen occasionally give chances to visitors to try their skills and are happy to share with them. A range of dried herbs and spices as well as items made by the local artisans working in the village are on sale at the Gift Shop.
