Created to look after orphaned, abandoned or injured elephants, this unique orphanage gives visitors a chance to get up close to these gentle giants; apart from fruit feeding sessions, you can also watch as the elephants bathe at the nearby river.

Yala National Park

Families who love wildlife should not miss a safari at the Yala National Park, a famed sanctuary in which to spot leopards. Even if you are not lucky enough to see this majestic predator, there are plenty of other animals to encounter including elephants, sloth bears, toque macaques, crocodiles, spotted deer, water buffalos and more!
