Viharamahadevi Park

Also known as Victoria Park, this is possibly the largest open green space in Colombo. With many child-centred facilities and plenty of picnic spots available, you can easily spend a few hours here with your loved ones.

Galle Face Green

For many locals in and around Colombo, Galle Face Green is the popular choice to hang out with friends and family, especially during the weekends. Located approximately 11.7 kilometres from Pegasus Reef via Aluthmawatha Road, it fringes the Indian Ocean, making it an ideal spot to fly kites or simply watch the sunset.

Beddagana Wetland Park

The highly urbanised city of Colombo surprisingly homes a wetland park as well. Located on the banks of Diyawanna Lake, south of Diyatha Uyana, Beddagana Wetland Park consists of scenic walkways where one can spot regional wildlife.

Diyatha Uyana

This urban park is a popular hangout found on the edge of Diyawanna Lake. From verdant walking paths and food stalls to a playground and aquarium, it has all the amenities that would let one spend some quality time here.
