The Tiger Beach (Laohutan) Ocean Park is the biggest modern lido in China spread across a total area of about 291 acres with a coastline of more than 4,000 meters and situated in the central part of the southern seashore of Dalian City. The park is known for its wonderful natural sceneries and gigantic man-made sights especially the areas of the Tigers Sculpture Square and Tiger Beach Polar Region Marine Animals World. Regarded as the Dalian people’s favourite park, Tiger Beach Ocean Park is a major tourist attraction and excellent for recreation, shopping and fun activities for both young and old alike. The Tigers Sculpture Square is spread across 4 acres of land designed in an irregular shape that gives it a total modern look. It was designed by the famous Chinese painter and sculptor, Han Meilin and is the iconic symbol of the park. The stunning sculpted tigers are 35.5 metres in length, 6.5 metres in height and 6.5 metres in breadth that took the famous sculptor close to three years to finish. These majestic six tigers are unique and different in their shapes and sizes.
