The dazzling stainless steel twin towers were designed by an Argentinian architect named César Pelli. Standing at 452 meters with 88 stories, they are considered the tallest twin towers in the world. It is one of the most breath-taking sights when lit up in the nights. A definite must-visit on your next vacation to Kuala Lampur.

Architecture

The floor plan is based on an eight-sided star that resembles arabesque patterns. It also has some Islamic references as the five tiers of each tower is said to represent the five pillars of Islam. Also, the 63m masts that crown the towers represents the minarets of a mosque and the star of Islam.

The Skybridge

Located on the 41st floor, the skybridge is a sure stop on any tourist outing. Peer down 170meters as you walk between glass walls across the two towers. You also have the option of taking the lift to the 86th floor and looking around the observation deck from a height of 370m as well.

Suria KLCC

Suria KLCC is the shopping complex located inside the Patronas towers. It features many foreign high end and luxury brands and is considered one of the largest shopping malls in Malaysia.

Location

Located in the capital of Malaysia, the twin towers are not too far from Mont Kiara, an affluent township of Kuala Lampur. If you are staying in a hotel near Mont Kiara such as the Dorsett Hartamas, then it’s just a 30 min drive from there to the towers.
