A Visit to Manila Ocean Park
From marine marvels to beautiful birds, Manila Ocean Park is a ‘must visit’ for families heading to the Philippine capital. Here’s a quick guide to help you plan your visit.
The Manila Ocean Park can be found near Rizal Park’s, Quirino Grandstand. For those planning a visit and looking for an apartment for rent, Pasay Area makes a good option; properties such as Citadines Bay City Manila are only around a 20 minute drive away. This Metro Manila attraction is open from 10am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 8pm on public holidays and weekends.
The Oceanarium with countless marine creatures from Southeast Asia and the Philippines is truly spectacular, especially it’s walkway tunnel where all manner of species swim around and above you. Other attractions include the Jellies Exhibit with cool light effects and music, the fun Sea Lion Show and Trails to Antarctica home to Humboldt penguins.
You can see land-based animals here too. Adorable hamsters, bunnies and guinea pigs can be found at The Barnyard, while majestic Brahminy Kites can be witnessed at the Birds of Prey Kingdom. Also of interest is the World of Creepy Crawlies home to frogs, spiders, worms and more.
The Sharks & Rays Swim Encounter and the Be a Sea Lion Trainer experience are truly unforgettable since you can get up close to these creatures. You can also try the Aquanaut Voyage that lets you go underwater with a special diving helmet and the Mermaid Swim Experience to embrace that inner Little Mermaid!
