Sprawled across the southern tip of Malay Peninsula is the capital of Malaysian state of Johor, Johor Bahru. There’s a lot to enjoy here in the city that sees about 16 million tourists every year. If you’re visiting Johor Bahru with your family there’s quite a lot of attractions that you can visit. One of these is the Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park.
Promising plenty of fun and games for the whole family, the park is located at Mount Austin which not that far off and hard to find. There’s many a Johor Bahru hotel the likes of the Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru; close by so you can ask the hotel concierge for directions. Before you plan your visit, check the park operating hours on their website so as to not to be disappointed if it’s closed when you get there. Make sure to dab on and pack on some sunscreen too, especially on warm days.

Once you’ve got the necessities sorted it’s time to have fun. The park has a really awesome water park with “jaw-dropping” water slides to relieve you from the hot weather! Then there’s an adventure park featuring an indoor suspension adventure rope course that’s said to be the longest in Malaysia. These include 7-course routes with 51 types of challenges/ obstacles designed for both thrill seekers and first-time players alike. Some of these challenges are rope trapezes, the Pirate Crossing, the Zip Line And Super Zip Line and the Half Tic Tac Toe, to name a few.

The Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park also has a Sports and Leisure Park where you and the kids can try your hand (and feet) at the Tropical Ice Skating Rink, the Drift in Austin, and Jump Street where “What goes up, must come down”!

After all that adventuring around, you’ll want to get a bite to eat. Thankfully, there is an onsite restaurant at the park.
